With the departure of Reece "Vivid" Drost, the Carolina Royal Ravens targeting rookie Dillon "Wrecks" Slotter for the remainder of the season.
Wrecks has impressed in Challengers for the past two years but has found it challenging to secure opportunities. It seems he is finally on the verge of getting his chance. During Stage III of the North American Elite, Wrecks has led OMiT Brooklyn to a perfect 5-0 group stage and has locked in a Winner's Finals appearance for Wednesday. Wrecks has the best season K/D for NA Elite Stage III with a 1.31, but has improved to a 1.39 K/D during the Playoffs. If he completes the Elite with a victory, it'd be his second straight Elite win.
Carolina previously attempted to replace Vivid after Major 2; however, a deal with OpTic Texas for Kenneth "Kenny" Williams could not be finalized. After going 1-1 this weekend and experiencing a reverse sweep by the Vancouver Surge, the team feels they have no choice but to make a change. With a championship placement already secure, they are seeking the four-man roster that offers them the best chance to achieve greatness.
The deal, however, is not yet finalized. Wrecks is currently under contract with OMIT Brooklyn, one of the top talent-producing organizations in Challengers, so a buyout will need to be negotiated between the two organizations.
